What degrees are offered at Valor Christian College?
We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry degree and 13 Associate of Applied Science degrees.
Students can select one of four minors:

*The one-year Diploma programs in General Studies and Pastoral Studies are not eligible for Title IV Financial Aid.
Is Valor an accredited college?
Valor Christian College is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).
Valor's degree programs are also authorized by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE).
Do Valor credits transfer to other schools?
Valor credits are transferable to any ABHE accredited schools. If you wish to attend a non ABHE accredited school it is up to that school, called the “receiving institution,” whether your credits from Valor will transfer. A state university has the discretion to determine which courses they will accept for transfer credit.
VCC has an arrangement, called an articulation agreement, with Ohio Christian University (OCU) in Circleville, Ohio. Up to 60 semester credit hours will transfer from VCC to an OCU bachelor’s degree program (on campus or online). If you are interested in transferring your credits from VCC to any other college or university you will need to personally contact each separately.

the retention rate is a percentage calculated from the number of full-time first-time students who begin in the summer or fall of an academic year and the number of those students who are still enrolled in the fall of the next academic year.

Online classes are $333 per credit hour plus an administrative fee $150 part-time or $350 full-time and a $300 technology fee per semester $300 course resource fee per semester.
**Resident students must have permission from the Provost before signing up for an online class.
What is the range of ages of students enrolled?
Valor attracts students from 17 to 90 years of age. Some students come straight from high school, some have previously been to college, and others have already graduated from college. Many have extensive working experience, professional and graduate degrees or both before coming to Valor Christian College.
How long does each semester last?
Valor has 16 weeks of instruction plus final exams. The fall semester begins in August and ends in December, and the spring semester begins in January and ends in May. A four-year program can be completed in 8 semesters of full-time study. A two-year program can be completed in four semesters of full-time study. The one-year diploma program can be completed in two semesters of full-time study.
Does Valor Christian College help students with employment while they are in school?
Students may apply for part-time employment at World Harvest Church.
What are the employment opportunities in the area?

How can I pay for my tuition and fees?
Once a student has been formally accepted, he or she can begin submitting payment(s) through the student Populi account with a major debit or credit card, ie. American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa. Valor also accepts cashiers' checks, money orders.
Does Valor Administer Veteran’s Educational Benefits?
Yes. Veterans, war orphans, and dependents of disabled veterans who plan to attend the college and claim benefits under any of the federal or state educational programs should apply online using the VA's online application process at https://www.vets.gov/education/apply/ directly to their nearest Department of Veterans Affairs office for a Certificate of Eligibility. This should be presented no later than the time of registration to avoid delay in payment of the subsistence allotment. Students must be enrolled for 12 or more semester hours to be eligible for full-time benefits. Contact the Veteran's Coordinator at Valor at 1-800-940-9422 ext 481 for information.
Does Valor offer scholarships or financial assistance?
Yes, financial assistance is available. Valor tuition is intentionally kept low to enable as many students as desire to attend the school.
In 2014, Valor was granted authorization through the U.S. Department of Education to offer students the opportunity to apply for federal student aid funding (by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965). Valor Christian College is approved to administer VA Education Benefits by the Ohio Department of Veterans Services, State Approving Agency for Veterans Education & Training under the G. I. Bill education benefits, Title 38, U.S. Code. Interested parties should contact the nearest Veterans Administration Office or send an email to veterans@valorcollege.edu for more information. Does Valor Christian College offer housing on campus?
Yes. Valor has one women’s residence hall (Cunningham Hall) and one men’s residence hall (Jude Hall). All students under the age of 35 are required to live in the residence halls unless they are married, single parents with children or live with immediate family in the Columbus area.
How are roommates assigned in the Residence Halls?
Roommates will be assigned upon arrival at Valor. If you would like to request to live with a specific person, you may do so on the Roommate Placement Information Form, which you will receive via mail after you have been accepted to Valor and have paid the minimum required to live in the Residence Halls.
Do you provide housing for married couples or single parents with dependents?
At this time Valor does not provide housing for married couples or a single parent with dependents. Information on local housing is available upon acceptance to Valor.
Does Valor offer meal plans?
Yes. All dorm residents are required to participate in the meal plan which includes lunch and dinner. Students who live in the residence halls also have access to cooking utensils and microwaves, as well as a commissary with vending machines.
What classes can I transfer in from another college?
All class credits taken at accredited colleges or universities will be transferred depending upon if they fit within the student’s specified academic program. A grade of "C" or higher is required and a sufficient amount of credit to fulfill our requirements is needed. The college you attended must send an official transcript to Valor for consideration.
Does Valor Christian College offer internships?
Yes, Valor does offer a Summer internship opportunity for current Associate of Applied Science students. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program must complete an internship as a graduation requirement.
