Policy
VCC welcomes anyone who desires to pursue a Biblically-oriented, Christ centered, Spirit-filled education. In fulfilling this goal, any applicant who has received a high school diploma or its equivalent and who desires to pursue a Biblically-oriented, Christ centered, Spirit-filled education is welcome and eligible to apply for admission to VCC. However, VCC is a Private Christian College and reserves the right to deny acceptance to an applicant. VCC publishes admission guidelines and procedures for its various programs of study and services in its institutional catalog. This information is also made available on VCC’s website.
Notification of Acceptance
All applicants with a current address and email will receive an offer of admission letter and an offer of admission email. International Students will receive admission information from Valor Christian College Admissions and information as to the requirements that must be met for the I-20 Form from the Designated School Official. Admission to VCC does not guarantee admission to programs with additional requirements nor does it guarantee that an I-20 form will be granted to International Students. Please email admissions@valorcollege.edu information on programs that require an additional admission process.
Once admitted, a student must begin attending VCC during the semester for which the student has been offered admission. In the event a student is unable to attend during the semester for which the student has been offered admission, the student must send a letter to the admission department requesting that the student be allowed to begin in the following semester.
Students granted acceptance are assigned a permanent student identification number. The offer of admission to students with no registration activity is valid for no more than two (2) semesters (with an approved letter requesting a later start date). At that time, a Returning Student Application must be completed to update records and reactivate a student account.

Full Acceptance:
When an applicant has submitted all of the required admission materials including high school documentation showing graduation or its equivalent, or a college transcript showing Associate degree or higher has been conferred the applicant’s file will be sent to the Admission Committee. Applicants whose applicationfile is approved by the Admission Committee are granted Full Acceptance
Provisional Acceptance:
When an applicant is granted limited acceptance with an in progress high school transcript. Students granted Provisional Acceptance do not qualify for financial aid unless/until they are granted Full Acceptance. Admission under provisional status may remain in effect for no longer than one semester. Students will not be able to register for subsequent semesters until they submit an official transcript showing graduation or its equivalent. Once the final official High School transcript is received, The Valor Christian College Admission Department will review the final official transcript and assign the student a final admission status.
Conditional Acceptance:
Students granted Conditional Acceptance are fully accepted students who must meet certain conditions such as meeting with the Student Dean, abiding by limitations on activities, etc. Students accepted under a Conditional Acceptance status qualify for financial aid. As long as the student meets the conditions of acceptance for the time period specified the Conditional Acceptance will change to Full Acceptance at the end of the specified time period.
Transfer of Credits (T)
Students who have attended an ABHE or regionally-accredited college or university may desire to have an official transfer transcript evaluated. An official transcript must be sent directly to the Registrar’s office at Valor from the school of origin. (Student-issued copies are not official.) Valor accepts credits from an accredited college if it is a part of the student’s degree program and has a grade of a “C” or better. Upon request, the student may need to provide further documentation of course content, such as a catalog description or syllabus. Transferred credits will be designated on the student’s transcript and will not figure into the GPA. There is a 20-hour maximum transfer credit limit on nontraditional credit, which includes online and distance-education courses taken at other institutions, credit for military training, credit for life experience, and credit by examination, including CLEP and AP. The maximum number of credits that may be transferred is also limited by the degree program. No credits may be transferred into a Certificate Program, a maximum of 30 transfer credits is allowed for the Associate Degree and a maximum of 60 transfer credits is allowed for the Bachelor Degree.
*Credit Options: Students lacking General Education requirements and/or the 13 hours of other credit may complete those hours through traditional college, CLEP examinations, Danes, and credit by life experience portfolios as approved by the Office of Academic Affairs
